Progressive Model Making
My First step was adding a frosted glass sliding door to increase natural lighting in the room, which I found was a success.
The next step was adding another source of light in addition to the sliding door to further increase natural lighting while also changing the room dynamics by adding another light source on the opposite side of the room. I liked the outcome but thought it needed further development to increase the impact of the 'squares' of light, which resulted in my next model.
My most recent model includes the previously added lighting features but maximises the effect by extending the feature wall of natural lighting on the right side. The shadows cast a nice geometric pattern which helps define the character of the room. I'm happy with the outcome of this model and can see the progression throughout all my models.
My Next Step?
I have been experimenting with different patterns that cast interesting shadows. My next step is to create an addition to the exterior of the room. Outside the sliding door there is a garage, in which the roof will be my focus point. I would like to create a nice pattern for the roof which will cast interesting shadows much like a privacy screen.
